Error 3261: no access to personal data

  1. Edit → Preferences → Integrated Applications → Company Preferences, select the TimeSheeta entry, Properties, and tick Allow this application to access Social Security Numbers, customer credit card information, and other personal data. TimeSheeta requires this setting to read which payroll items each employee has, and whether QuickBooks pays them from timesheets.

  2. The company file needs a complex password. QuickBooks withholds payroll details from every connected application without one, whatever the checkbox says. Try using a more complex password that follows these guidelines:

    • At least 8 characters (letters, numbers, or special characters)
    • At least 1 number
    • At least 1 uppercase letter
    • At least 1 special character
