QuickBooks leaves this setting undecided for some employees until it is changed once. The
fix is to change it and change it back:

1. **Employees → Employee Center**, right-click the employee, **Edit Employee**.
2. **Payroll Info**: untick *Use time data to create paychecks*, then **OK**.
3. Open the same employee screen again, tick it, then **OK**.

Then press **Send again** on that week. The hours go on the next sync, with no need to
approve the week a second time.
