# Error 3261: no access to personal data

> Two things in QuickBooks can stop TimeSheeta reading the payroll details it needs. How to check both.

1. **Edit → Preferences → Integrated Applications → Company Preferences**, select the
   TimeSheeta entry, **Properties**, and tick *Allow this application to access Social
   Security Numbers, customer credit card information, and other personal data*. TimeSheeta
   requires this setting to read which payroll items each employee has, and whether QuickBooks pays them from timesheets.
2. **The company file needs a complex password.** QuickBooks withholds payroll details from
   every connected application without one, whatever the checkbox says. Try using a more complex password that follows these guidelines:

   - At least 8 characters (letters, numbers, or special characters)
   - At least 1 number
   - At least 1 uppercase letter
   - At least 1 special character
